Candace Garthwaite
Candace Garthwaite is the quintessential recruitment
professional. Discreet, intuitive, intelligent and focused, she has been
applying her expertise in organizations and human behavior to the business of
recruitment for the past 15 years. Prior to that, she was an education
professional specializing in the field of gifted and talented
education.
Entrepreneurial in spirit, Candace formed Garthwaite Partners
in 1995 after a long career in executive search, including Blackshaw Olmstead
and Lynch where she specialized in financial services and technology, and at The
Madison David Group where she was a Regional Manager.
A PhD in Education
form the University of Connecticut, Candace is a specialist in identifying the
educational needs of especially talented learners. She has worked extensively
with education professionals and the government, including as a researcher for
the National Association of State Legislatures. She has taken her unique skills
of identifying and measuring intelligence and creativity and applied it to the
business of executive search.
Candace is an active member of her
Fairfield County, Connecticut and a strong advocate of family life. She is
married with a son and two stepdaughters. Her leisure activities include yoga,
jogging, gardening and tennis. She was the founder of the Stamford Business
Women's Roundtable and has played significant roles in the Financial Women's
Association (FWA) of New York, Women in Management (WIM ) in Stamford, and the
YWCA of Greenwich, where she is a board member and co- chair of the Development
Committee.
